Dine - La Vista

834_dineThe Hideaway at La Vista Resort!

~ Simply beautiful ~

It was lunchtime, and I was not looking forward to driving over the hill and back, but the traffic worked in my favour somehow and everything went smoothly. I picked up my partner and off we went to the Hideaway restaurant at La Vista Resort.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that the lunch menu was different to the dinner menu. There were lots of lighter choices at lunch: different types of sandwiches, burgers, salads and mini-main course meals for those who didn't want just a light lunch.

My boyfriend ordered the very simple Ham & Cheese Sandwich with slices of ham, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes and a side of thin crispy fries. I ordered the chicken and mushroom meal with long strips of tender chicken breast with a thick and tasty mushroom sauce all over, a nice side of rice and peas and some roasted vegetables.

We were happy to get to this calm, serene and beautiful spot, far away from noise, and have not only the gorgeous view of the sea and neighbour island Saba, but also a sparkling clean pool with just a few relaxed guests around it. It almost felt like we had the place to ourselves; so nice to sit, relax and eat that we were surprised our orders came in so quickly.

It was the first time for us two and we enjoyed every delicious bite. The presentation of course hooked us first, and we couldn't believe we were at this quiet, gorgeous yet simple location. Everything seemed easy and relaxed there. Although we were keeping lunch light, we did decide to indulge in a little cheesecake as well, why not right?

It was really delicious, and a sweet ending to a lovely lunch. I had my little bit of heaven inside my lunch hour, and then headed back to work rejuvenated!
