Black rave Glow Summer Heat Party

LISA-HYPER-UP-_1-700x700~ Featuring Lisa Hyper ~

Can't get enough of the neon and dancehall/reggae parties happening this month? Well then you're in luck because on Friday, August 7, 2K Entertainment presents their Black Rave Glow Summer Heat Party – a Neon Glow Blackout party that takes place under the tent at Port de Plaisance at a steal of an admission price of $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. The party starts at 9:00pm sharp. Don't be late because 2k Entertainment will feature 10 artists, including one of dancehall/reggae's most controversial female artists straight out of Jamaica – Lisa Hyper.

The petite 26-year-old is most recognized for her multiple styles of delivery, provocatively cunning lyrics, energetic performances, flamboyant and innovative sense of style. Starting out her career as Lisa Hype under the Portmore Empire record label, she gained both local and international recognition for her hit songs Champion Bubbler, Whine for Me, and Bills.

She has performed in Switzerland, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, St. Lucia, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, all of which earned her positive reviews and experience in the entertainment field.

She's since left the Portmore Empire and changed her performing name from Lisa Hype to Lisa Hyper. After her split with her label, critics predicted she'd never make it independently, but she surprised everyone by releasing mix tapes in the streets of Jamaica and building a strong international fan base on YouTube. Hyper then won Best New Female Artiste of the Year at Jamaica's annual EMEs (Excellence in Music and Entertainment) Awards in 2010.

That same year, Hyper went on a short tour in the UK, followed by shows in French Guiana, Aruba and Dominica in 2011 and then she did a one-year tour in the US in 2012. Now she's here gracing our island with a love for dancehall and reggae, and her sick tunes that will undoubtedly have everyone in the crowd jumping.

Lisa continues to inspire and is respected and loved by her fans not only for her music but also for her real down-to-earth attitude, unconquerable strength and determination. She is a fighter for what she believes in. Fearless and very unpredictable, she chuckled, "You never know what I'm coming with next in terms of my creativity. Expect the unexpected. They say you can't really predict the future, but I am going to be big in this world and maybe a fashion icon. I want to remain relevant."

With so much self-confidence and energy, Lisa Hyper is bound to put on a great show. See you on Friday, August 7, as 2K Entertainment presents Black Rave Glow Summer Heat Party starting at 9:00pm sharp!
